Ben continues to build on over twenty years of small animal practice. He spent his high school years at John Paul College and then studied at the University of Sydney obtaining first class honours. Interestingly his career has circled back to Rose Avenue Vet hospital from high school work experience at the clinic in 1995!
Over his years in practice, he has worked in the UK as well as travelling and working around Australia accumulating skills and knowledge along the way. Ben taught Veterinary Anaesthetics to nurses on the central coast through the TAFE system enjoying sharing knowledge with the next generation of veterinary staff.
His focus is on trying understand the specific needs of the pet and their owners and provide the best outcomes possible in each case. Ben is committed to ongoing learning and refining and integrating new information to continually improve on his broad experience. Ben aims to provide clear options, and values an ongoing dialogue with owners. During work with Guide Dogs Australia, he gained a deeper insight into the role of animals in our lives and just how lucky we are to have our pets as part of our families.
Ben has five dogs and obtained a bachelor of fine arts at the National Art School in Sydney ten years ago. He continues to paint the landscape around him and exhibits his work.
