Our Toormina and Coffs Harbour vets are kind and compassionate and want to help you get the best for your animal. This includes making sure you understand any problems your pet might have. Consequently, a thorough pet examination is performed in the most caring and least stressful way for your pet. Also, please don’t be afraid to ask questions during the consultation or to call back afterwards if necessary.
Veterinary consultations at both our Coffs Harbour and Toormina clinics are by appointment. Standard appointments last up to 15 minutes. However, sometimes tests can be done during the consultation, which can take a bit longer. It’s, therefore, a good idea to let staff know on arrival if you are on a tight schedule. If you arrive without a pet examination appointment, our reception staff will do their best to fit you in, but we strongly advise you to call ahead to check that a vet is available. Even in an emergency, calling ahead will ensure a vet is available and allow staff to prepare for your pet’s immediate treatment on arrival.
At Toormina Road Clinic, a vet usually consults between 9 am – 10.30 am, then 3.30 pm – 5.00 pm (although some exceptions can be made) Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, a vet will be consulting between 9.00 and 11.30 am. Arriving without an appointment may mean that the vet is already in surgery or is not on site.
At Rose Avenue Hospital, consultation times are generally from 9 am – 11 am, then from 2 pm – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, 9 am – 12.00 pm Saturdays.
Our vets are rostered on at both clinics each week, so if there is a particular vet you would prefer to see, let us know, and we will try to accommodate you.
