Dr Andrew Graham-Higgs

Andrew graduated from University of Queensland in 1993 and started working in a predominantly small animal mixed practice in Armidale .  After several years in Armidale Andrew and his young family moved to the United Kingdom where he worked in a range of busy practices for a period of nearly 2 years.

After returning from the United Kingdom to Armidale for a short period a decision was made to settle in Coffs Harbour and in 2001 Andrew purchased the Rose Avenue and Toormina Road Veterinary practices from founder Dr John White.

Andrew has been a member of the Australian Veterinary Association since his student days and served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the North Coast Branch for nearly 10 years.

Andrew’s main areas of interest are in small animal surgery and avian medicine and surgery.

On his days off Andrew enjoys family time with his wife, four children, Labrador (Kingston) and various aviary birds.  His interests also include gardening and bushwalking having most recently completed the Overland Track in Tasmania with numerous sidetrips and the Six Foot Track in the Blue Mountains.
